About Dr. Ashlei Petion
I'm a professor, mental health and family counselor, clinical supervisor, researcher of generational trauma and healing, speaker, and an advocate for mental health awareness and equity. At the core of all my work, I aim to improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities with a focus on generational healing and social justice.

I've volunteered for the National Suicide Hotline, worked for crisis centers, school-based mental health, community mental health, and done some private practice work, amongst many other jobs along way. I've taught numerous college and graduate level courses, presented my work at local, state, national, and international conferences, and served as a leader in some professional organizations in the counseling profession. I've also earned several awards for my leadership, advocacy, teaching, research, and service to the counseling profession. I love what I do!
